Steven H. Whittington, 61, of Libby

Steven H. Whittington, 61, of Libby died Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at his home in Libby from natural causes.  

Steve was born Jan. 28, 1953 in Red Lodge, to James and Jane (Young) Whittington.  Steve grew up and attended school in Deerlodge. Steve met the love of his life, Elaine Seeley, and the two were married Feb. 25, 1978. Steve and his family moved often. Steve worked construction for over 25 years. He enjoyed fixing up cars and selling them. Steve was a compassionate and honest man and will be missed by all those who loved him.

Survivors include his wife Elaine of Libby; children Sarah Whittington (Michael) and Amber Hendricks (Dan) both of Libby; Jason Whittington, Jesse Whittington, and Daniel Whittington all of Butte; mother Jane Young; two brothers Jim Whittington (Mary) of Butte; Rick Whittington (Kay) of Colorado; two sisters Linda Peltier (Billy) of Missoula; Cindy Heaton (Chris) of Deerlodge; and eight grandchildren.

Private family services will be held.  Local arrangements are under the care of Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home & Crematory in Libby.
