Susan Swearingen, 68, of Libby

 Susan “Susie” R. Swearingen, 68, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014, at Libby Care Center after a long battle with a rare form of cancer. She was born October 3, 1945, to Russell and Grovene Jeffries in Luray, Va. She moved to Montana in 1978.

She enjoyed homemaking, gardening and was a valued waitress for several restaurants in earlier years.  

Great appreciation goes to her doctors, Highfill, Roop and LaGoy who allowed her to fight the terminal conditions of the disease for nearly nine months; and to the Cabinet Peaks Medical Center infusion girls who were so kind in attending to her needs. A heartfelt thank you to the Libby Care Center staff who daily gave her love and respect in her final days.

Susie was preceded in death by her two brothers, a sister and her parents, all from Missouri.

Survivors include her husband Van Swearingen and her daughters Pauline and Menby.
