Letter to the editor: Pay your mounting taxes and shut up

Letter to the Editor,

Despite the bleating of Barack Obama, John Kerry, Susan Rice and Brian Williams in their condemnation of Edward Snowden, the fact remains that this man exposed our government for what it is: a power hungry, corrupt and out of control monster. Our government has taken on the job of keeping us safe from the myriad threats of modern society by classifying nearly all information.Anyone questioning the hidden nature of government activities is quickly labeled a domestic terrorist, a coward or a spy.  The recurring message from our estranged government seems to be: Except our generous freebies, pay your ever-mounting taxes, trust us to do the right thing and shut up.
