Letter to the editor: Glad to see clean campaigning

Letter to the editor:

I am very encouraged by the fact that the candidates who are running for the political offices in Lincoln County have not run any nasty business about each other. We are all humans, and none of us are perfect or even close. We all live in beautiful Lincoln Countytogether. We are neighbors and we are Americans. I hope that we will see good campaigning during the upcoming general election.

Attacking another candidate shows a lack of confidence in your own qualities, and it is just tacky. It is so nice that the campaign ads are positive and the news reporting has been fair and objective. While the mainstream media is swayed by political strongholds, it is refreshing to know that we can count on our local newspapers to report accurate information and not maliciously try to damage anyone’s reputations to mislead our citizens. I am proud of our voters for educating themselves about all of the candidates and for casting their vote to help Lincoln County. This positive veil over the county is heartwarming. This is another reason to make Lincoln County a great place to raise a family, run a business and enjoy retirement.
