Carol S. Brumfield, 79

Carol S. Brumfield, 79, of Troy, passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on Thursday, July 17, 2014, after a long battle with sarcoidosis. She was born on Feb. 28, 1935, in Hammond, Ind., to George and Vera (Bush) Blackburn. Carol loved her family and her Lord. Her greatest joy was found in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Donald P. Brumfield.

Survivors include her son Donald M. Brumfield of Nebraska; her daughter Becky (Michael) Vinion of Troy; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister Marilyn Morris of Alabama; brother George W. Blackburn, Jr. of Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held in her honor at a later date so family can attend. Local arrangements are under the care of Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home & Crematory of Libby, MT.
