Donald Hansen, 78

Donald C. Hansen, of Jenks, passed away in Tulsa, Okla., on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at the age of 78. Don was born Jan. 18, 1936, in Kila, to Harold R. Hansen and Clara (Iverson) Hansen.

Don grew up in Rexford and graduated from Lincoln County High School in Eureka in 1954. He earned a bachelor of science in general studies from Montana State University in 1959. Don retired in 1982 as major in the U.S. Air Force after 22 years and six months service to his country.  

Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, in 1999. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Rob Cook, of Yukon, Okla., and a son, Paul Hansen, of Jenks, Okla.; two brothers, Hal Hansen, of Billings, and Leland Hansen, of Libby; three grandchildren, Sam, Ricky and Veronica Cook.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2014, at the Ninde Brookside Chapel in Tulsa. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to contribute to www.upwithtrees.org in memory of Don Hansen.
