Laura June Meyer, 79

Laura June Meyer, 79, passed away on July 1, 2014, in Troy. She was born on March 2, 1935, to William and Katherine Kortte Williams in Thompson Falls.

Laura married Lewis D. Meyer on July 14, 1951, in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho, and celebrated 55 years of marriage. She worked at the St. Regis/Champion International lumber mill as a forklilt operator until her retirement. She was an active member of the Rebecca Medora Lodge #53 and the Oddfellow Lodge #68 until her passing; she dearly loved her lodge sisters and brothers.

Laura was a Gold Star Mother with the loss of her eldest son Donnie in Da Nang Vietnam at the age of 18. She loved her children and grandchildren, and she held many special gatherings which always included an overabundance of food, love and laughter.

Laura was preceded in death by her husband Lewis, sons Donnie and Dana, her mother and father and many sisters and brothers.

Survivors include her daughter Deb and husband Marc Zahner of Troy, daughter Denise and husband Randy Raan of Troy, daughter Danette and husband Phil Fisher of Troy, daughter Deanne Sloan of Troy, daughter Dawn and husband Rod Cymbaluk of Crookston, Minn.; son Derek Meyer of Richland, Wash., son Devin and wife Julie Meyer of Troy, son Dennis Meyer  of  Troy; sister Carrie and husband Bob Dedrick of Libby; and sister-in-heart Sharren Cohenour of Libby; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, including two very special nieces Kitten and her sister Karen.
