Whitefish’s pint-sized freeskier Maggie Voisin showed the world she’s ready for the big stage of the Olympics with an impressive silver medal performance Sunday at the Winter X Games in Aspen, Colo.

The 15-year-old stomped a switch 1080 spin on her second run of the womens slopestyle finals. Her score of 90 was more than enough to snag a spot on the podium.

Five-time X Games slopestyle gold medalist Kayla Turski took the top spot with a 91.33.

Voisin is the youngest skier ever to medal at the X Games.

The X Games plays host to the biggest and most competitive slopestyle competition of the year. Next month the sport will make its debut in the Olympics at Sochi, Russia.

Voisin was nominated for the U.S. Olympic team last week and will be the youngest competitor for team USA.

She posted an 88 on her first run Sunday, which included a perfect 900 spin. Her third run also included a 1080 spin, but she botched her third jump.

Womens slopestyle in Sochi is scheduled for Feb. 11.
