Neal R. Ferguson

Neal Randall Ferguson, 58, died on Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at his home in Troy.  

He was born Sept. 20, 1955, at Denver, Colo., to Neal J. and Glenna Ferguson.He was raised both in Denver and Missoula, as his parents moved between the two cities a number of times.  He went to Abraham Lincoln High School.  

Neal joined the U.S. Army at 17 and served until he was 21.

He went into the construction trade and worked all different kinds of construction for the rest of his life.  

He was an avid fisherman and passed that love down to all his children and grandchildren. They all have wonderful memories of his fishing tales.  

Neal loved Montana and moved to Troy to help take care of his dad, Neal, in his final months. He chose to live in Troy after his dad’s death. He will be so sadly missed by his immediate family in Colorado, Oklahoma, Arizona and Wisconsin.

Survivors include his children, Neal Bruce Ferguson, Shannon Lee Ferguson, Kellie Roxanne and Heather Carlton; his mother and stepfather, Billie and Tom Rogers; two sisters, Vickie Kunkleman, Tammy Ferguson; a brother, Rick S. Ferguson; his ex-wife Gail Bolter; six grandchildren, Christopher, Danielle, Skylar, Ocsuana, Kerisa and Garrett; and six nieces.

Services will be held in April.  Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home & Crematory in Libby.
