Braleys celebrate golden anniversary

Gene and Linda Braley celebrated 50 years of matrimony Feb. 15. The couple acknowledged the milestone with a family gathering in Libby.

The parents of two children, Jeana Wood of Libby and Jason Braley of Spokane, Wash., and five grandchildren, were married in Park City in 1964.

Gene recalls meeting Linda while driving through Libby on his way to Alaska “to make a million.”

Linda took a liking to Gene’s 1964 Ford, as well as its driver. The two started talking and the rest is history.

“I never made it out of Libby after meeting her,” Gene said.
