Blood drive set

Thursday at VFW

The American Red Cross will conduct a blood drive at the Libby Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1548 on Thursday, Feb. 20.

The blood drive will run from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the VFW located at 114 West 2nd St.

Prosperity forum

slated Thursday

A community meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, to discuss the future prosperity of Lincoln County.

The meeting, which will be held in the Ponderosa Room of City Hall, will feature a presentation by Karl Dye, executive director of the Bonner County, Idaho, Economic Development Corp. Other panelists include Brigid Burke of the Kootenai River Development Council, Tim Dougherty of the Idaho Forest Group and Nick Raines, the Asbestos Resource Program Manager.

Rayson benefit

set for Feb. 21

Friends of Clayton Rayson are planning a benefit to aid him in his fight with autoimmune liver disease.

The benefit is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at the Wilkinson Hall at 101 Collins Ave.

Admittance to the benefit is free, but there will be drawings for a .22 Ruger Mark II handgun, .22 Henry magnum rifle, .270 Ruger American camo rifle and numerous other silent auction items, such as lodging at Heron’s Roost, an oil change and loads of firewood.

Also, there will be homemade desserts and coffee provided.

Donations in support of the Raysons can be mailed to 915 Montana Ave., Libby, Mont., 49923.

Fundraiser set

for tennis courts

UServe Libby, Inc., a non-profit agency that benefits the Libby tennis courts, is hosting a night of bingo to benefit the courts.

The bingo night is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Elks Lodge located at 220 W. 4th St.

There is a $20 buy-in, and that includes all cash prize games.

There will be free snacks for all players.

There will be cash prizes, mystery prizes and a silent auction.
