| February 11, 2014 11:04 AM

Edna Eileen Elizabeth Boucher Klumpp Anderson, 93, of Libby passed away Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at the Libby Care Center.

She was born Jan. 16, 1921, in Hibbing, Minn., to James and Helen Boucher.

Edna grew up in Milwaukee along with sisters Myrtle, Mae, Blanche, Catherine, Beatrice, Goldie, and three brothers, John, Lymon and Amos. Edna and her siblings attended Catholic school as children, and she had many stories of her younger years.

Edna married Harold Klump in 1941. She had several jobs during their marriage and World War II, including working at a battery factory as well as a uniform factory. Their daughter, Eileen, was born in 1943. Harold then passed away in 1945 while stationed overseas.

She then married Glen Anderson in 1947. Their daughter, Brenda, was born in 1950. Edna and Glen moved from Wisconsin to Libby in 1952 where they built their home and made their life with their two daughters. Edna worked at Adkins Bakery for many years. Edna also bowled on a league for many years and enjoyed the time she spent with her friends. Edna and Glen had been married for 57 years at the time of Glen’s death in 2004.

Edna enjoyed many things in life, but most of all was spending time with her family. She and Glen spent many weekends camping and fishing with their children and grandchildren. They were original members of the Libby Dam Good Sam club.

Edna was a member of this club for 39 years and was very proud of this accomplishment. She also enjoyed bowling, playing cards and listening to polka music. She loved playing pinochle as well as hand and foot with her girlfriends. She attended many Saturday night bingo games and was very lucky at winning.

Edna enjoyed teaching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to play games. There wasn’t a board or card game that she didn’t like to play. She adored babies and was blessed to have spent time with her great-grandchildren, Kiera and Kagen Khameneh, Chaz and Trey LaDue and Jessica Picchietti. She enjoyed playing with them and watching them all grow up.

Edna is preceded in death by her siblings, husbands Harold and Glen, and son-in-law Loren.

Edna was a kind and loving mother, grandma and friend. She will be missed dearly. All who knew her will laugh and cry at memories of her. She was strong and taught us all to love one another, pay attention, play fair and draw a card.

Her daughter, Eileen Dollan, and husband, Loren  of Kalispell are the parents of Edna’s first grandchild, Tandy Khameneh of Missoula. Brenda Hill and husband, Don of Libby blessed Edna with two more granddaughters, Heidi Picchietti and husband, Dan of Arlee, and Kami LaDue and husband, Shawn  of Missoula.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb.  14, 2014, at Schnackenberg and Nelson Funeral Home, 422 W. 2nd St. in Libby.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m.  Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, with burial to follow at the City of Libby Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Libby Care Center.
