Sandra DeShazer, 65, of Libby

Sandra K. DeShazer, 65, of Libby, said her goodbyes and parted this world on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at Health Center Northwest in Kalispell.  

She was born March 17, 1948, to Ray and Mildred Alkire.  

Sandra enjoyed listening to memory-sparking music, hunting, fishing, camping and crocheting. She was a best friend to many and a mother to most, and just a lover of all. She spent most of her life loving and caring for the children she brought in to this world.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Gerald DeShazer; and many brothers and sisters, Darwin, Chuck, Dennis, Curtis, Lorraine and Lavon Christianson.

Survivors include her children, James Paul of Lacey, Wash., Lara Paul of Brush, Colo., Gary DeShazer and fiancée Buffy of Libby, Rebecca DeShazer and significant other, Walter Terry, of Libby, Samantha DeShazer and husband, T.J. Duran of Polson; and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.
