Fantozzi baby girl is CPMC's first born

Last Friday, a little more than an hour after the ribbon-cutting ceremony that dedicated Cabinet Peaks Medical Center, the hospital obstetrics department was christened with its first birth, that of Quinn Adalyn Fantozzi.

Quinn, the fourth daughter born to Tony and Amy Fantozzi, came into the world at 1:49 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, becoming the first born into the new state-of-the-art baby delivery area. Little Quinn, weighing 7-pounds, 6.5-ounces and measuring 21-inches long,was delivered by  Dr. Anne Camber.

“The baby’s doing wonderfully,” said Amy Fantozzi, a week after Quinn’s birth. “It was wonderful, especially the queen-(sized) bed. That was really nice so mom and dad can stay together. We’re doing well. We’re getting some sleep.”

Quinn joins her three sisters, Gabriella 10, Maggie, 6, and Claire, 4. She will have a big brother, too, in Zachary, 8.

To commemorate her arrival, Quinn and her family were gifted a Radio Flyer wagon heaped with size 1, 2 and 3 diapers, two quilts,  which were hand-crafted by members of the community, an afghan made by an employee of Cabinet Peaks; and a gift certificate for a photo session with Kara Matthews at Libby Creek Photography. That package includes a photo package and birth announcements.

“We were also delighted that they just happen to be a part of the larger Cabinet Peaks Medical Center family, as Tony is one of the physician assistants in our Walk-In Clinic. It made for an even more exciting and emotional event for us here at Cabinet Peaks,” said Kate Stephens, marketing manager at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center.
