Arthur Kroeger

Arthur L. Kroeger, 84, passed away peacefully at home in Libby on Dec. 5, 2014. He was born March 21, 1930, in Willmar, Minn. to Alfred and Geneva Kroeger. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1947, serving in China and Korea.

In 1952, he married Joyce Bendt in Minneapolis, Minn. After their marriage, they lived in various locations in Minnesota and South Dakota before settling in Watertown, S.D., to raise a family.   

Art worked as a bricklayer and was co-owner of a construction company. After the kids left home, the Kroegers moved to Oceanside, Calif., where Art worked as a tile setter. After Art’s retirement, they began their life of travel by becoming full-time RVers. Upon the death of his wife, Joyce, he spent his summers in Libby and winters in Yuma, Ariz.

Art is survived by his children Roxanne (Keith) Corbett, LeWayen (Marge) Kroeger and Lisa (Mandel) Boerger; grandchildren Matt, Melissa, Katie, Eric, Jason and Amanda; and three great-grandchildren.
