Greenchain wrestling drops first dual

Libby Greenchain wrestling dropped their first dual meet of the season on Tuesday, falling 36-28 to Whitefish on the road.

Greenchain wrestlers scored five individual match victories. Tristen Howendobler won his match in the 113-pound class by forfeit. Zach Crace, bumped up to 160 for this dual, won an 11-2 decision.

Dylan Roby, Dylon Parrish and Garret Chapel all tallied pins in the meet.

Roby, at 138 pounds, recorded his pin at 1:08 against Brooke Krause.

 Parrish, at 145, pinned Whitefish’s Malik Hayden at the one minute mark.

Chapel, the defending state champion at 170, was bumped up to 182 for this meet and pinned his opponent, Matt Carr at 1:36.

Crace and Chapel are both expected to be at their normal weights, 152 and 170 respectively, for the rest of the season. They were bumped up to fill in open roster slots for this meet.
