Lila Grace Fields was born June 20, 1927, in Libby, the daughter of the late Ernest and Grace Moody Davidson.
Lila was united in marriage to Willis D. Fields on Nov. 20, 1947. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Libby. She loved visiting the Libby Senior Center and had served on the board of directors.
Lila loved her mountains, playing pinochle, bowling, gardening, fishing, baseball and hand work such as hardanger and cross stitching.
She departed this life on Nov. 4, 2014, in Corinth, Miss.
She is survived by daughter Susan C. Baker (Tim) of Ramer, Tenn.; grandchildren Scott Stephens, Mike Stephens, Ryan Stephens, Jennifer Watkins, Benjamin Watkins, Allyssa VanDenBurg and Alexis VanDenBurg; son-in-law, Dan Stephens of Richland, Wash.; sister-in-heart Clarice Thompson and her husband Roy of Libby; many great-grandchildren and other extended family.
In addition to her husband and parents, Lila was preceded in death by daughters Cynthia A. Stephens and Beth J. Hibbs; son Richard G. Fields; and brother Roy Davidson.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on June 20, 2015, at Christ Lutheran Church in Libby. Memorials may be sent to the CARD Foundation at 214 E. 3rd St., Libby, MT 59923.
