Georgia Lea Onstott, 69, of Troy

| April 29, 2014 10:26 AM

Georgia Lea Onstott, 69, was taken from us by cancer on Friday, April 25, 2014 at her home in Troy.  She was born on June 9, 1944 at Colville, Wash., to Viola Elizabeth Barden and LeRoy Hatcher.

She met the love of her life, Kendall C. Onstott in 1962.  They married a year later and had three children. In 1982 they left Washington state to relocate to Alaska.

Georgia worked at an Alaskan laundry in Juneau for more than 10 years. She then did daycare even though her own children were grown. When they retired in 2004, they found their own little piece of heaven in Troy.

Throughout Georgia’s life, her greatest loves were children, fishing, crafts and volunteering to help others as she sat on the Board of Lady’s Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her mother Viola, father LeRoy and a brother Jerry.

She is greatly loved and will be missed.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Kendall Onstott, Troy; her children Kari, Stewart, Celeste; sisters Chris, Janet, Tina; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Troy Church of God at noon. Please come share your joy in life with us at a potluck at the Onstott home in Troy after services.

Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.
