Candidate forum
The Libby Area Chamber of Commerce will host a candidate forum at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Little Theatre. Candidates running in contested races will be allowed to answer questions from a moderator. Candidates in uncontested races are invited to present their platform.

Poetry
The eighth annual Lincoln County Poetry Extravaganza staring Tahj Kjelland is Thursday, May 1 at 6 p.m. at the Hot Club in Troy. Tahj will present “Express to Speak,” which will engage participants in learning to communicate artistically through storytelling and how to integrate real-life experience into spontaneous poetry. Entry to this event is free. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from the Hot Club. Winners of the 2014 Poetry Contest will be announced and an open poetry reading will close the evening. The Lincoln County public library hosts the event, which is made possible by a grant from Humanities Montana.
Archery Shoot
The Libby Archery Club will be holding a traditional shoot at Fawn Creek Campground on Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4.
Recurve and longbows only, no compound bows will be used. Primitive camping will be allowed.
Registration is 7:30 a.m.-10 a.m. Saturday and 7:30 a.m.-9 a.m. Sunday. Top shooters will be flighted Sunday for trophies. Trophies will be awarded for all classes including men, ladies, youth and cubs/chipmunks. There will be 40 3D targets each day with scoring of 10-8-5-0.
The fee for youth, ages 12-17, is $7 one day or $12 for two days. Adults are $15 for one day or $25 for two days. Cubs, 11 and under, are free. Family is $35 or $60 for two days.

Rummage sale
The Libby Senior Center will hold an indoor rummage sale Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The sale is a fundraiser for Meals on Wheels.
Cabinet Peaks
Cabinet Peaks Medical Center has extended its patient financial services department to once again offer more payment options for medical bills.
Starting on May 1, the medical center will provide the following payment options to all persons who use the medical facility.
• Short-Term Payment Plan: This is for patients who pay off their entire account within one year of the date of service.
• Extended Payment Plan: This plan is for all accounts that need a payment plan extended out longer than one year from the service date.
• Financial Assistance: The Patient Financial Services Team at CPMC offers financial assistance to those who could not otherwise pay their medical bill.
• Self-Pay Discount: This is for patients who do not have insurance and who want to pay their bills in full within 30 days of the service date.
