First in Montana— Libby-Troy Volunteer Ambulance Association boasts the first extrication unit in the state. The crew officially took possession of the 3/4-ton 1965 Ford last Friday when Mark Schoknecht, right, manager of St. Regis, turned the keys over to the LTVA President Art Purdy. The vehicle, a direct result of an extrication training session held here last spring, joins the three LTVA ambulances at the LTVA barn. Photo from the April 4, 1974, files of The Western News.
