Justice not served in the Peterson case

| April 18, 2014 12:28 PM

Letter to the Editor,

On March 21, 2014, this headline and subheadline appeared in The Western News, “Plea bargain for Peterson, Attempted deliberate homicide charge is dropped.”

Maybe I don’t understand the legal system here, but when somebody attempts to murder someone with a weapon, isn’t that attempted murder?

I don’t understand how Mr. Cassidy can say he is satisfied with this agreement? I’m sure as hell not!

I left a state that had revolving door justice practiced by bleeding heart liberals that coddled the criminals, now this?

How about Tracee Peterson and her children and the trauma she faces for the rest of her life, plus her disabilities inflicted by her husband.

What do you do next, Mr. Cassidy, give Mr. Peterson a teddy bear so he can sleep? Maybe you’re happy with this, I am sure not.
