Libby softball wins again; earns coach 200th
Lady Logger softball swept weekend action for a second time in a row Saturday, improving to 4-0 and earning a milestone victory for their coach with easy wins against a pair of Idaho schools.
Coach Dean Thompson picked up his 200th career win during a 10-0 drubbing of Timberlake. Pitcher Hannah England allowed four hits in five innings during the first game of the Libby Invitational. Devon Gallagher’s grand slam sparked the Libby offense in the first inning and Kelsey Klin’s two-run triple in the third made it 9-0.
“Libby has always had such a great program,” Thompson said. “Our girls, year-in and year-out, come in to compete. It feels really good to get that win.”
The Lady Loggers travel Tuesday to Whitefish for a doubleheader before hosting Thompson Falls on Saturday.
