Amona Pearsall, 44, of Troy

Amona Leah Fairbairn Pearsall of Troy went home to be with her Heavenly Father on April 3, 2014.  

Amona was born Oct. 3, 1969, in St. Helens, Ore. She graduated from Troy High School in 1987. Amona had few jobs in her life, but the one she enjoyed the most was making fishing lures at Bass Busters in Amsterdam, Mo.

She enjoyed doing the many crafts her mother taught her like crocheting, cross-stitch and embroidery. Her latest achievement was passing her test for an Amateur Radio Technician license. Her call sign was KG7KGA.

Amona married Frank Pearsall on Sept. 29, 1992. Frank preceded her in death in September 2012. She also was preceded in death by her parents, Tenie Arlene (Halvorson) Fairbairn and Henry Alvin Fairbairn; and a brother, William Ray Cole.

Frank and Amona joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in June 2010. They had no children together, but did have two foster daughters, Serenite and Tommi Moore; and her stepson, Frank Loehr, Jr.

Amona also is survived by her boyfriend, David Fontenot; a sister and six brothers, Dick Cole, Jerry Cole, Tom Fairbairn, Tim Fairbairn, Terry Fairbairn, Cricket Pickle and Toby Fairbairn.

Also surviving are the many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, in-laws, adopted sisters and brothers and children. Everyone loves Auntie Mona. She is greatly missed.

Graveside services will be held at the Troy Cemetery at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014, Refreshments will follow at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 141 Lake Creed Road.
