Yahvahs celebrate 65th wedding anniversary

Anniversary Yahvah

Bernice and Gene Yahvah of Libby celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Sept.12.  

The couple was married at the First Presbyterian Church in Boulder, Colo., in 1948.

The couple has resided in Rexford and Libby since 1950. Gene worked as a forester for the J. Neils Lumber Co., St. Regis and Champion until retiring in 1989.

 Bernice was a secretary at McGrade Elementary School for more than 20 years. Since retirement the couple has enjoyed community activities and traveling.

The Yahvahs have three children, Maggie Harmon of Colorado Springs, Colo., Stan Yahvah and Bonnie Morrow, both of Libby, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  

In celebration of their anniversary, the couple has enjoyed visits from family members throughout the summer.
