Lois E. Skranak, 62, of Libby
Lois E. (McNulty) Skranak, 62, passed away Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital.
Her family lost another beautiful sister, wife, mother, grandmother, auntie, cousin and friend.
Lolo has had a very long journey in this fight and now has earned her wings to join her loving family in heaven. God embraced her and brought her home.
Lois was born June 4, 1951, in Libby to Robert and Evelyn (Knutson) McNulty. She grew up and attended school in Libby, moving to Minnesota her senior year of high school. She was in Minnesota for quite some time before moving back “home” in 1995.
She had not been back in Libby very long before she met Duane Skranak. She married Duane on Sept. 14, 1996.
They had just celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary. She was a member of Libby Christian Church and her church family was important to her. Lois loved her gardens and enjoyed quilting, but the most important things to her were her grandchildren. Spending time with family was always a highlight to Lois. Her family will miss her more than words can say but are thankful she is in no more pain.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert “Bud” and Evelyn McNulty; brothers Robert and Richard McNulty; and sisters Joanne Spady and Linda Risley.
Lois is remembered by her husband, Duane; children Alan, Mike and Brandon;, step children, Douglas, Matt (Amber), Andrea and Christina; sister, Nancy McNulty; brother, Larry (Cheryl) McNulty; aunts, Claryce and Ivy; numerous nieces and nephews; and her precious grandchildren.
The public is invited to join the family in celebrating Lois’s life at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at at Libby Christian Church, 100 Kootenai River Road.
