Robert L. Knickerbocker, formerly of Libby
Robert L. (Bob) Knickerbocker, passed on Sept. 6, 2013, to join his wife, Carole; grandson, Jonathan; his parents, Claude and Selma; brothers, Kennedy “Snick,” Glen and Lew; sisters, Odetta and Shirley.
Bob is survived by his children, Mike, Patti and Greg and his wife, Sharon; six grandchildren, Austin, Danny, Jenni, Luke, Paul and Shawn, and 10 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nephews and nieces and their families.
Bob served his country in the U.S. Army. He then attended Brown’s Institute for radio and TV broadcasting in Minneapolis where he met his bride to be, Carole.
After retiring from a career in broadcasting and KLCB Radio, he missed the social interaction, and took on a new role as the manager of the Venture Inn in Libby.
Bob belonged to the Elks, the V.F.W. and the American Legion in Libby. For persons wishing to give to a memorial, the family asks that those organizations be considered.
The family thanks Valley Vista Care Center in Sandpoint, Idaho, which was Bob’s home away from home.
Bob requested no services, but the next cold one be hoisted in his honor.
Family and friends are invited to sign Bob’s online guest book at www.coffeltfuneral.com.
Arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service.
