| September 17, 2013 12:43 PM

LaDee Peterson Knight, 82, died peacefully in her home of 17 years Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013.

At the time of her death, she was surounded by friends.

She was born on Dec. 11, 1930, in Sunnyside, Carbon County, Utah, to EuDell and Dorris (Biggs) Peterson.

She married Ray Knight on Sept. 27, 1948, and they were married for 65 years.  LaDee was a member of the LDS Mormon Church and was married and sealed in the LDS Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah. They resided in Orem, Utah, and raised their family of two boys and two girls.

They had a horse ranch that inspired LaDee to do many paintings of horses and outdoor sceneries. She was an excellent homemaker and baked lots of goods and canned many foods.

She and Ray later moved to St. Regis where she cooked for the St. Regis School District. The children really enjoyed her as much as she enjoyed them.

Their last resting place was beautiful Troy where they moved to be closer to LaDee’s sister Iris Peterson.  LaDee led an outgoing lifestyle of camping, dutch-oven cooking, fishing and anything that brought her family together. She was a joy to know and will be missed and loved always.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Knight; son, Ray E. Knight and family; all of Troy; daughters, Lonna Fox and family of Missoula; Karen (Larry) Rich and family of Roosevelt, Utah; son,  Scott Knight and family of Troy; 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.

Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at the Troy Cemetery.
