William L. Duggins, 82, of Libby

William L. “Bud” Duggins, 82, of Libby died Friday Sept. 6, 2013, at his home in Libby.  

Bud was born Dec. 2, 1930, in El Centro, Calif., to William and Ethal Essary Duggins. Bud grew up and attended school in the El Centro and Brawley areas of California.  

He married Barbara Burns at 17.  Bud was a hard worker and had worked numerous jobs during the years.  

In 1978, he bought a country store, Nelson’s Market, which he operated for more than 20 years.  

Bud’s wife, Barbara, preceded him in death in 1998.  After Barbara’s death, Bud sold the store and retired.  Bud married Donna Liberatore on Sept. 8, 2000. They moved to Libby in 2004.  

Bud loved hunting, fishing, tinkering in his shop and yard sales. His greatest passion was his family, especially his grandchildren.  

Survivors include his wife, Donna of Libby; children, Rich (Judy) Duggins of Artois, Calif., Dan (Debbie) Duggins of Ord Bend, Calif., Gayle (Terry)  Osborn of Orville, Calif.; Babie (Duke) Wiley of Medford, Ore.; sisters, Dorothy (Clarence) Brewer of Lincoln, Calif.; Leola (Ray) Weddle of Lincoln, Calif.; Joann Pack of Yuba City, Calif.; brother, Billy (Nancy) Duggins of Yuba City, Calif.; Robert (Colleen) Duggins of Libby; nine grandchildren, seven-great grandchildren and three great, great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be held.  

Local arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.
