Motorcylist killed on Highway 12

MISSOULA — A 41-year-old man from the Missoula area has died in a motorcycle crash west of Lolo on U.S. Highway 12.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the man was heading west when he lost control on a bridge about 5 p.m. Saturday and crossed into oncoming traffic.

Police say he collided with a vehicle and was thrown from the motorcycle. He wasn’t wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s name hasn’t been released.
