Orvil C. Merrell, 84, of Libby

Orvil C. Merrell, 84, of Libby passed away peacefully at home Wednesday Oct.  9, 2013.

He was born June 19, 1929, in Naples, Utah, to Angus F. and Mable (Weist) Merrell.    

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marva Nickell Merrell, and a son, Gordon N. Merrell.

He is survived by his second wife, Claudine Cooper Merrell; his children, Gaylen (Karen) Merrell of Jackson, Wyo., Lynn Eve (Creg) Wilkins of Vernal, Utah, Glendon (Ruth Ann) Merrell of Casper, Wyo., Blain (Leanne) Merrell of Yerington, Nev., Gary (Mary) Merrell of Jackson, Wyo.; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and sister Carma (Orval) Stevens of Naples, Utah.

Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013,  at the Ashley Valley Mortuary in Vernal, Utah, with a service afterward at 11:30 a.m.

Burial will take place at Vernal City Cemetery.
