David Eldon Larson, 74, of Troy passed away Friday Oct. 11, 2013, at his home.
He was born April 28, 1939, in Flaxton, N.D., to Clarence and Sadie (Hill) Larson.
He married Linda Houghton in 1968, and they had a daughter, Rosalind (Roz). They divorced in 1989.
He worked for the Forest Service in the Yaak for some years before going into logging as a sawyer. David loved being in the woods and going fishing and camping. He also enjoyed playing pool and dice.
He is survived by his daughter, Roz, of Troy; brother, Bill Larson of Missoula; step-brother, Ervin Dodge, of Missoula; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at the Troy Cemetery.
A potluck reception will follow at the State Line House. Arrangements are under the care of Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home of Libby.
