He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1974 and was honorably discharged in 1975. He transferred to the U.S. Army National Guard until being honorably discharged in 1981.
He married the love of his life, Cindy Mack, on Feb. 24, 1978, in Libby. They were blessed with four children, Johnny, Amanda, Boomer and Morgan; and six grandchildren, Samantha, Shannon, Tori, Melanie, Alexis and Gatlin.
Glen had a passion and skill for trucking and mechanics. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t drive forward or backward, and he could turn a wrench at most anything. Glen worked for many great people during the years, such as, LaBelle Logging, Bouma Trucking, Morgan and Oswood Construction, Louie O’Brien, Crismore Logging, TBC Timber, ASARCO Inc., Troy Mine Inc., and others. He always gave 110 percent and took great pride in his work.
Glen enjoyed spending time with his family and friends with camping, hiking, day drives, picnics, four-wheeling, playing with the grandkids and working on cars. If he could get a little teasing in, he was happy. He was always willing to help his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
