Bissell to address Libby SAF chapter
The Society of American Foresters is sponsoring guest speaker Gael Bissell, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks biologist, for its November chapter meeting.
Bissell’s presentation, entitled “The Wildlife Mitigation Program in Northwestern Montana: accomplishments over the last 20 years,” is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Fireside Room of the Venture Inn.
Bissell will discuss the beginning of the settlement agreement with Bonneville Power Administration for the wildlife impacts associated with the Libby and Hungry Horse Dam and describe how Montana FWP and its partners decided to implement wildlife mitigation programs across northwest Montana.
Also, Bissell will discuss the proposed Community Forest project at Alvord Lake in Troy. Persons who seek more information on this project are welcome to attend.
