The Lady Trojans volleyball team lost to Bigfork in three sets and Plains in four at the  district tournament in Plains on Saturday.

Troy’s performance at the district tournament determined their seeding for the divisional tournament in Florence, which begins Thursday and carries through Saturday. The Lady Trojans will be seeded fourth and take on No. 1 seed Florence at 1 p.m. Thursday.

The divisional tournament is double-elimination.

“The girls had a defeated attitude this weekend,” Head Coach Sandra Beal said. “I hope we come out this week with a desire to compete and don’t settle. We still have the opportunity to end the season on a positive note.”

Florence finished third in the state tournament last season and, according to Beal, boasts strong hitters.

Seniors Katie Lundin, Kellie Lundin and Megan Hight have led the way for the Lady Trojans.

Beal simply hoped her young team would be energetic and willing to learn at the beginning of the year. Since, she has been pleased with the growth of her team.
