Gordon L. Mills, 81, of Libby

Gordon L. Mills, 81, of Libby passed away at Brendan House in Kalispell on Saturday, May 18, 2013.  

Gordon was born Sept. 30, 1931, in Libby to William and Opal Mills.  

He grew up and attended school in Libby.  In 1958, he married Grace Miller.  They made their home in Libby where he worked as a logger.  He worked in the woods as a logger his entire life, retiring in 1989.  

Gordon not only worked in the woods, he enjoyed spending his free time there hunting and fishing.  

He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace; grandson, BJ; granddaughter, Michelle; two brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include his children, including a son, Mike (Sheila) Mills of Troy; Becky (Kent) Nord of Libby; Steven (Renee) Mills of Helena; Cindy (Bill) Schachle of Wasilla, Alaska; two sisters; two brothers; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.  

A memorial service in Gordon’s honor will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013, at 656 Vanderwood Road in Libby.  

There will be a potluck.
