Lady Loggers best Bulldogs in shutout

Hannah England held Whitefish to a pair of singles, struck out six and issued one walk in going the distance in the circle to guide Libby past Whitefish in Northwestern A action.

Libby (4-7 overall, 2-3 league) did all of its scoring in the first three innings.

Rebecca Kyriss and Auria Benefield both had 3 RBIs for the Loggers.

Mahalah Wedel paced the offense by going 3-for-4, which included a double.

Rachel Rebo also doubled.

Shannon Craft and MacKenzie Carl had singles for Whitefish (1-11, 0-6).

“The girls hit the ball well,” Libby coach Dean Thompson said. “We played a good game.”

Libby had 10 hits and did not commit an error.

Libby hosts Flathead on Tuesday.
