John Hennessy, 64, of Libby

John Lee Hennessy, 64, of Libby and Kalispell died Saturday, April 27, 2013, in Seattle, Wash., as the result of a car accident. His family was by his side. 

John was born in Libby on Aug. 9, 1948, to Dick and Betty Hennessy. He attended Montana State Uni-versity in Bozeman, where he majored in film and television. 

John served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1970-72. He was a combat photographer.

He later opened Hennessy Art & Photography, which he closed because of health problems.

John is survived by two sisters, Patricia Teague of Astoria, Ore., and Kathy Hennessy of Yakima, Wash.; as well as his beloved partner Peggylee Olson of Kalispell.

There will be a memorial service at 1 p.m. May 18, 2013, at the Memorial Center (111 E. Lincoln Blvd.), with a celebration of life to follow.
