For a brighter future, vote yes for all of Libby

Letter to the Editor,

If the people of this community truly want to reduce their dependence on the federal government, as is oft-touted in public discourse, then they need to vote yes for the school (levy) – local is as local does.

If the people of this community truly want to have more economic opportunities and increased development, then support the school (levy) – no business is going to invest in a place (for the duration) that does not invest in its own future; their ability to attract skilled and professional labor is severely hamstrung.

If the people of this community truly want to transform its public image then vote yes on this (levy). It’s time we stop seeing ourselves as victims and make the future one to be proud of; one in which the children have choices other than meth or theft.

The children will know if their community supports them. They will decide whether this community is worth coming back to and raising a family or starting a business; or whether it truly should be left to die as so many others have claimed.

Whether its $20, $40 or a $100 increase on your property taxes – its peanuts compared to the incalculable value on the return. Give up a couple cases of smokes or a couple cases of beer; carpool with a neighbor for a couple months.

The children will know this community supports them and is confident in its choice of investment for its future.

Vote yes for Libby.
