Prep Roundup: Loggers stung by Yellowjackets in loss

The Logger tennis teams had a busy weekend, battling Stevensville on Friday and then traveling to the Bitterroot Invitational on Saturday.

The boys won at the top over a deep Yellowjackets squad, but ultimately lost 6-2. No. 1 singles Jason Schnackenberg and No. 1 doubles Ian Myslicki/Lane Luscher took the wins for Libby. 

The girls team had slightly more success, but also fell to Stevensville by a score of 5-3.

No. 3 singles Sarah McBride won, along with No. 1 and No. 2 doubles teams of Kaya Hardgrove/Kaylene Hudson and Kira Rose/Melanie Thomas.

Elsewhere in prep tennis:

Troy’s boys beat Mission and Ronan handily on Friday and Saturday, respectively, 5-1 over both teams. The Lady Trojans beat Ronan 5-1 but lost every contested match with Mission to fall 4-2.

The Lady Bulldogs didn’t field any doubles pairs, and the No. 1 and 2 singles matches went to three sets in the loss.
