Justice Court

April 22

• Andrew C. Ish was fined $500 for criminal possession of dangerous drugs dating back to March 17. The drug in question was less than 60 grams of marijuana.

• Corina M. Whitaker was fined $600 for driving under the influence of alcohol dating to April 19.

April 25

• Emily R. Helgeson was given a deferred imposition, fined $100, given a suspended sentence of 180 days and 50 hours of community service for endangering the welfare of a child dating to Dec. 1, 2012.

• Karin H. GjendemBecker was given a suspended sentence of 176 days with four days served for driving without a valid driver’s license dating back to Feb. 21. An additional charge of failure to carry insurance was dismissed by the prosecution.

• David Herman Kneller was fined $325 for multiple driving violations dating to April 17. He failed to follow conditions and requirements of special permit and exceeded 34,000 pounds tandem axle weight limit.

• Jessica H. Ramsey was fined $250 for driving with a suspended license.

April 26

• Charles D. Greene was held in criminal contempt for a day dating back to Dec. 16, 2012.

Sheriff’s Report

April 7

• Caller on Commerce Way made a 911 call but hung up. Dispatchers called back, it was a child playing with the phone.

• Caller on Iron Creek Road reported someone had scattered his brother’s mail down the street.

April 8

• Caller from Washington wanted a welfare check on her mother at a residence on Granny’s Garden Road. 

• Caller came into the Sheriff’s Office to report her license plate had been stolen from a truck in Troy. It could have been anytime during the last year, as the truck was broken.

• Someone was stealing parts from the Pioneer Auto wrecking yard.

• A woman got into a vehicle with a child and appeared intoxicated. Officers couldn’t find the car.

• A boat and trailer sunk at Barren Creek boat launch. 

• A female dog was excitedly running through Shopko. Her owner claimed her.

• A family disturbance was reported in the 500 block of 10th street.

• Caller on Champion Haul Road reported a suspicious vehicle sitting at the end of his roadway.

April 9

• A highly intoxicated man walked into the Mint Bar and refused to leave for an hour while the bartender was trying to close. Officers responded and gave him a ride to his motel.

• Someone tried to steal a vehicle on Carpenter Lane the night before and had damaged it.

• Caller on Commerce Way reported someone had broken into his home and stole money.

• Caller on White Drive in the Yaak reported a shed had been broken into at his summer residence.

• Caller on Highway 2 wanted to report a man she had met online had possibly put a tracker on her cell phone. She advised that he was stalking her online.

• Caller at Chrysalis Horse School reported a student there was not to have contact with her mother. Her mother had found her and the caller was concerned she was violating a restraining order.

• Squatters were reported near the north end of the Troy tunnel. Their dogs were chasing residents’ chickens.

• Caller on Champion Haul Road advised he received a message for a civil lawsuit from Florida. He suspected a scam. 

• The reporting party came into the lobby to discuss discrimination at Libby High School.

• Resident on Hammer Cutoff reported a vehicle knocking down her fence and drove off. It was a light blue pickup with significant damage to passenger side.

April 10

• A single-vehicle accident was reported on U.S. Highway 2. The driver appeared drunken and dazed, said the reporting party. When responding parties arrived, they said they had been dealing with the man for several days. He was suicidal, and the mental health clinic was asked to evaluate him.

• Reporting party came into the lobby to report a man had been texting her and was concerned he was in the area.

• Caller on Commerce Way reported money stolen from her mother’s apartment.

• Suspicious vehicle was reported on Highway 37.

April 11

• Caller on Highway 56 reported her neighbor kept getting into her mailbox. It was the third time she had caught him.

• Theft reported at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital.

• A white Dodge Dakota was traveling at a high rate of speed near the walking path across the haul bridge.

• Caller on Fifth Street Extension reported his neighbors being loud and having a big party with possible underage drinking. 

April 12

• Caller on ACM Road South reported someone had vandalized his property. 

• A dark green Chevy pickup drove off without paying from Saverite South.

• A possibly intoxicated woman driver headed west on U.S. Highway 2. 

• A donkey was loose and causing trouble on Second Street Extension.

• Caller on Utah Avenue reported someone had shot the windows out of his residence.

• Caller on Bowen Hill Road reported a dog chasing her chickens again.

April 13

• Robert William Gile was arrested at the Golden Nugget after getting into a physical altercation with his girlfriend. He was drunken and charged with partner-family member assault.

• Drunken driver was picked up by Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies.

• An infant child was left in a running vehicle at Rosauers. The calling party waited until its father came out of the store.
