Lincoln County Justice Court

March 14

• Bret James Bachteler had a charge of partner of family member assault dismissed by the prosecution after serving 21 days. He was given a fine of $100 for resisting arrest.

• William E. Kizer was fined $600 for driving under the influence of alcohol.

March 15

• Dominic K. Lee had his suspended sentence revoked and received a restitution of $64.

• Donovan A. Farnsworth was sentenced to three days in jail for criminal contempt.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Report

March 14

• Caller on Vinion Lane reported someone shooting a gun behind her residence by Granite Concrete.

• Caller reported his vehicle was parked in front of Libby Senior Citizens Center where it was struck by an unknown vehicle.

• A theft was reported from a vehicle in the Stein’s parking lot in Troy. The item stolen was a gun.

• Caller on Blue Mountain Road reported her truck was missing.

• Sara Hardin-Hutchinson, 24, was arrested after allegedly stabbing her husband, Alvin Savage III, 35, in the arm. 

Sheriff’s deputies and Libby police responded shortly after 6:30 p.m. to 545 Wards Road after a neighbor reported the stabbing.

Savage had tied a shirt around his arm to stem the bleeding. He was transported to St. John’s Lutheran Hospital and released three hours later.

Hardin-Hutchinson was booked on preliminary charges of felony assault with a weapon, misdemeanor partner or family member assault and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of children.

• Caller at the Libby VFW reported a drunken man yelling at the bartender and refusing to leave.

• Brett James Bachteler, 43, was arrested for a family disturbance on Kootenai Vista Drive.

March 15

• Same residence on Kootenai Vista Drive reported another family disturbance. A man was reporting his wife threatened to kill him with knives. 

• Jeremy Goucher was arrested at the Reese Trailer Court for a traffic violation.

• Caller on Fish Hatchery Road reported she never received a check for payment she was due.

• A suspicious white Toyota truck was reported on Chase Cutoff Road.

• A sink hole was reported on Parmenter Road and Taylor Loop. Someone had placed a stake and then cones in it as it grew bigger.

• There was a report of a fire at Harlow’s Bus Barn. It was just a large brush fire and the fire department was not needed.

• Possible drunken driver reported heading west on Highway 2. They had hit a guardrail and then pulled into the roller rink parking lot.
