Mickey E. Rayment, 54, of Libby
Mickey Eugene Rayment, 54, the most loving husband, amazing father to many children and faithful believer, took his final journey home to heaven on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer.
His family brought him home, and pastor and friends sang and prayed and walked him right into Jesus’ palms as he took his final breath with amazing grace as he would wear the crown.
He was born on Oct. 1, 1958, in old St. Pete’s Hospital in Olympia, Wash. He went to Tumwater High School and spent many days walking around Capital Lake in Olympia.
He always gave 100 percent to his best friend, Don, working with him at Don’s cattle ranch in McLeary, Wash. He had his own fencing company, putting up miles of fencing throughout western Washington. He was an excellent mechanic and never said no to anyone in need. He was a “proud Toyota man.”
He loved to fish, hunt, and camp where no man has camped. That is what brought him and his family into Libby’s beauty of wilderness on June 17, 2003. They spent many hours exploring the wilderness in their Toyota, in pursuit of big bucks, elusive elk and a beautiful chocolate black bear, which remains on his game wall. His hunt with the most fun was shooting at an antelope running 60 mph and knocking it down.
Mickey had a talent of gardening and landscaping that can be admired by all who walk through Dome Mountain. He had no idea how many people he influenced and touched in their hearts. His concern was always for others first, right up to the very end. My love, may you rest in peace in the palms of Jesus’ hands. I will carry you in my heart forever, I love you.
