Patricia L. Hill, 79, of Libby

Patricia L. (Patty) Hill, 79, of Libby passed into the arms of Jesus on Nov. 30, 2012, at Kalispell  after a nine-year battle with breast cancer and an asbestos-related disease.

She was born May 28, 1933, to Zephaniah and Tinsy Poston in Potlatch, Idaho, where she was raised and attended school.

Patty married the love of her life, Gene Hill, on Sept. 6, 1949, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. They were blessed with three sons. 

In 1951, their adventures brought them to Libby where they raised their family.

Patty enjoyed fun with all of her family and friends.  She loved all of the outdoor activities that are Montana.  She treasured being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  

Patty, along with her husband Gene, was a volunteer host at Logan State Park on Middle Thompson Lake for several years, making many lifelong friends. Patty was also active in the local Wings organization.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Gene Hill; sons Ed (Angie) Hill, Bob (Debra) Hill; daughter-in-law, Jenie Hill; grandchildren Asa (Erica) Hill, Kara (Gary) Hirzel, Seth (Paula) Hill and Coby (Deann) Spencer; great-grandchildren Jaxson, Abbigail, Keegan, Ember, Caleb, Shelby, Addison and Sophie; her sisters, Lorraine Cann and Loretta Vowels; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Hill; sisters, Eunice Getz and Jackie Strum; and brothers, Jimmy, Larry and Bruce Poston.

She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held in her honor at 11  a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Libby Christian Church.
