The Loggers took on the Glacier Twins for a baseball double-header Friday at home, winning both games to project their record to 10-7 for the season.

Game one came down to the final inning, as the Loggers came into the bottom of the seventh down by one run. But Libby came out swinging, with four singles hit each by Will Reichel, Jared Winslow, Micah Germany and Josh Foote, allowing Reichel and Winslow to score the final runs needed to end the game in seven.

Both teams started off hot, as Glacier walked in two runs by balls on base. Libby tied the score after Germany smashed a home run past left field in the bottom of the second that would also bring winning pitcher Reichel home. Reichel scored again in the next inning, taking home during a risky steal to second base that Logger shortstop Winslow survived.

Winslow connected with first baseman Banks Stocking for a quick double play at the top of the fourth. Reichel threw out another Twin leading off first, to maintain a 3-2 lead.

In the top of the fifth inning, Stocking made an acrobatic jump to tag a runner out at first base before suffering a freak accident arm injury on the next play that ended his night. No fracture was reported in the injury.

The Loggers finished game one 6-5, and continued to win the next game 9-5 via five runs scored in the sixth that would end the game in early innings.
