Joanna J. Ueland, 79, died at her home in Heron from natural causes.
She was born June 4, 1934, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to William and Inga (Wing) Heinrichs.
Joanna grew up and attended school in Chester, Wash., and graduated from Creston High School with the class of 1952.
Joanna married the love of her life, Finney Ueland, in October 1952. The couple moved to Troy in 1956 where they made their home and raised their family.
After 42 years in Troy Joanna and Finney sold their home in Troy and moved to Heron where they have resided since 1998.
Joanna was well known for her beautiful flower garden. Joanna loved crafts, quilting, painting and baking.
Survivors include her husband, Finney Ueland of Heron; daughters, Debbie Irvine and Marsha Westphal; sons, Galen, Michael, David and Don; granddaughters, Valli Irvine, Nicki Ueland, Cameron Parratt, Taylor Bindrum, Brianne Ueland, Kaillie Ueland; grandsons, Eric Irvine, Jacob Ueland; great-granddaughters, Jocelyn Parratt, Juliet Parratt; great, great-grandson Jayden Ueland.
Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at the Heron Community Center.
