Larry D. Hildebrand, 57, of Troy

| July 19, 2013 3:02 PM

Larry Dean Hildebrand, 57, died Saturday, July 13, 2013,  at his home in Troy.

He was born to Richard and Beverly Hildebrand on Jan. 2, 1956, in Des Moines, Iowa.

After high school graduation, he married his first wife, Pam Neilson, and they had a son, Brandon J.  Larry then moved to Lincoln County, where his various jobs included tree-planting and bartending.

In 1991, Larry married the love of his life, Merry.  They lived in the Yaak River area and shared their love of gardening, music and mountains for many years.  Larry’s spirituality was evidenced by his love of people and art.

Larry was an amazing artist and judged no one and treated everyone as a friend.

Larry’s father, Richard, preceded him in death in 2003.

Among those who will miss his spirit are his love Merry; his mother, Beverly; son, Brandon; and his wife, Leslie; and their three children, Ryley, Gracie and Callie, all in Virginia; along with daughter, Cemberlie, in Idaho.

Also surviving are brothers, Rick and wife, Pat, and their children and grandchild, Brian, and wife, Gail, along with their children and grandchildren; his sister, Sharon; his former wife,  Pam; and her children; a sister-in-law, Sandy Lint and, of course, all of Larry’s friends.

A potluck and gathering in his memory will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 21, at the Veterans of Foreign Wars club in Troy. Please bring stories, photos and memories.
