John H. Reiwoldt, 85, of Libby

John H. Reiwoldt, 85, heavy equipment operator and longtime Libby area excavation contractor, died Friday, July 12, at the Libby Care Center.  

A native of the Bitteroot area, John was born at Corvallis on March 12, 1928,  to Bill and Myrtha Riewoldt.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1948. He came to Libby in 1963, and he and his late wife, Alvina, had made their home here since that time.

Survivors include two stepdaughters, one stepson, 11 grandchildren and a bundle of great-grandchildren.

A service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, at Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home chapel. Interment services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Victor Cemetery, Victor.  

Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 16.
