Veterans memorial brick-laying begins

Volunteer Doug Adams works on bricks at the Lincoln County Veterans Memorial Foundation monument on Tuesday. Area veterans are building a memorial that will feature a Scott Lennard-created bronze depicting a soldier pulling another wounded soldier to safety. The memorial is situated on the long looping curve at Riverfront Park. The veterans hope to dedicate their full monument on Veterans Day 2014.
