Inez C. Eastman, 81, of Libby

IInez C. Eastman, 81,  passed away at her home in Libby on Monday, July 8, 2013.

She was born on Aug. 7, 1931, in Great Falls, the only child of Claude W. and Ida (Knutson) Crews. She was raised and educated in Hawley, Minn.,  and Fargo, N.D. 

She came to Libby in 1972 where she met William (Bill) Eastman. They were married Feb. 27, 1974, in Elko, Nev. Together they enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping as well as traveling. They spent the winters in Arizona and enjoyed visiting family in Idaho, Montana and Wisconsin during the summer. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Bill) and a great-grandson, Gavin.

Survivors include her daughter, Lynn (Jerry) Shuffield of Emmett, Idaho; Claude (Jolee) Sarbaum of Hamer, Idaho, and Blaine Sarbaum of Libby; nine grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; and her faithful dog, Buster.

The family extends a special thanks to Dr. Rice and to Libby Hospice, especially Kim, Laura and Christine.

Services for Inez will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013, at City of Libby Cemetery.
