City leaders, we're tired of engineering studies, high water rates, city parks
Letter to the Editor,
Does the city leadership really have our best interests in mind?
Why do they spend so much time voting to drown us in debt with the dam project, bury us in snow while not fixing roads or even letting the veterans build their monument? It’s because the leadership goes to horror-story meetings on how some city anywhere USA got sued.
It doesn’t change the fact that our families are all on the hook for the leadership’s poor judgment on parks to pavement.
Stop spending our money on engineering firms that sell you folks on worst-case scenarios. Hello leadership, how are young families with limited income going to pay for the projects that are in the works?
Furthermore, why should elderly people living on fixed incomes pay for water and sewer they never use?
When does it all stop with the Riverfront Park?
If families with kids aren’t welcome to play there because of the river why do those of us with kids need to pay for it?
I want to know why the Riverfront Park should be held in higher regard than any other Libby park?
With the lawn watering, why should someone water city trees when, after all, there are no discounts for summer watering?
Should we expect the tree board, city, and, of course, the Port Authority to pay?
Libby residents and Libby water customers already pay one of the highest water bills in the state.
Stop already!
It’s a great sales pitch to potential property owners and buyers: Your water bill could be double what you’ll pay in property taxes!
